Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils with additional needs across Stockport. Roles involve helping pupils access learning, building confidence and participating in school life.

We welcome applicants with school-based or other setting experience who are committed to inclusive education and safeguarding. Long-term opportunities with potential for permanent roles and weekly pay are available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs to access learning.
  • Support 1:1 or small groups alongside class teachers and SENDCOs.
  • Contribute to inclusive education and pupil engagement.

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential?

Aspire People is working with a number of welcoming Primary Schools across Stockport who are looking to recruit caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs from September.

Whether you already have school-based experience or have supported children in another setting, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

You’ll provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and successfully participate in school life.

You may be supporting pupils with:
  • Autism (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • Other additional learning needs

Support may be on a 1:1 basis or within small intervention groups, working closely with class teachers and SENDCOs.

We’re looking for candidates who:
  • Have experience supporting children or young people.
  • Are patient, caring and adaptable.
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Are committed to inclusive education.
  • Have a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
