Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a SEND Teacher for a thriving primary special school in Radcliffe. The role focuses on delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with significant SEND needs, including autism, with strong support from skilled teaching assistants.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or be an ECT, be patient, creative and committed to inclusive education, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with pupils with SEND and Autism.
  • Warm, patient, resilient and nurturing.
  • Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with pupils and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for SEND pupils.
  • Support pupils with SEND including Autism in class and with support staff.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and professionals.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress and adjust teaching accordingly.
  • Promote independence and a love of learning.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.
