Job summary

Premier Education is partnering with a specialist SEND school in Bolton to recruit a SEND Primary Teacher for a small KS1/KS2 class. You will deliver a sensory-rich curriculum with 1:1 TA support, helping pupils aged 6–9 with diverse needs, including ASC, using PECS and non-verbal communication where appropriate.

This is a rewarding role in a supportive setting, with ongoing consultant support from Premier Education.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Strong communication skills.
• Warm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Experience with ASC or other complex needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach a small KS1/KS2 SEND class (<10 pupils) with 1:1 TA support.
• Deliver learning through a sensory-rich, pre-formal curriculum.
• Create engaging, sensory-based learning experiences.
• Collaborate with a dedicated support team and Premier Education consultant.

Premier Education is working with a wonderful specialist SEND school in Bolton to recruit a passionate and dedicated teacher for a small KS1/KS2 class.

About the Class

You will be teaching a small class of less than10 pupils aged between 6 and 9, all of whom receive 1:1 support from a TA.

The pupils have a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning disabilities and PICA. Many communicate non-verbally using PECS, signs and gestures, and some have additional medical or behavioural support needs.

Learning is delivered through a sensory-rich and pre-formal curriculum, making this a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who loves thinking outside the box!
