Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is assisting a welcoming school in BL1, Bolton, in recruiting an experienced SEND Teacher for a Year 3/4 provision.

The role involves planning differentiated lessons, adapting the curriculum for pupils with diverse needs, working with Teaching Assistants, and supporting academic, social and emotional development while safeguarding. It is a full-time, long-term role with potential permanent status, starting ASAP, with a competitive daily rate based on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience with SEND and primary KS2 preferred.
• Able to adapt lessons and differentiate learning.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Patient, caring and reliable, safeguarding focused.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support pupils within a Year 3/4 SEND setting.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
• Adapt the curriculum for various additional needs.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and school staff.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Implement appropriate behaviour and learning strategies.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP targets.

• Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.

We are currently looking for an experienced SEND Teacher to join a welcoming school in BL1, Bolton, supporting pupils within a Year 3/4 SEND provision.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who has experience supporting children with additional needs and is confident creating an inclusive, engaging and nurturing learning environment.

The Role

• Teach and support pupils within a Year 3/4 SEND setting.
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs.
• Adapt the curriculum to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other school staff.
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Implement appropriate behaviour and learning strategies.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP targets where required.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with parents, carers and external professionals where appropriate.
• Follow school safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

About You

• Has QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Has experience working with children with SEND.
• Has experience teaching within a primary setting, ideally KS2.
• Is confident adapting lessons and differentiating learning.
• Has strong behaviour management skills.
• Is patient, caring and consistent in their approach.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Is reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding.
• Can start ASAP.
