Job summary

Ealing Council is seeking a Performance and Data Analyst (SEND) to join the Schools Data, Performance and Intelligence team. You will lead statutory returns, develop data systems, and produce dashboards to inform SEND planning and service transformation in the borough.

You will work with senior leaders to improve outcomes for children and young people, ensuring GDPR compliance and high-quality data insights. This is a full-time, on-site role in Ealing.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel, SQL and Power BI proficiency is essential.
• Strong analytical and forecasting capability is required.
• Experience handling large datasets and data governance.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are needed.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience in SEND, education or the public sector is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory returns (including SEN2) ensuring compliance and deadlines are met.
• Develop and enhance data systems and reporting frameworks.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and inform planning.
• Produce high-quality dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI).
• Provide expert advice on data interpretation and performance.
• Support forecasting including specialist school place planning.
• Collaborate with services, ICT and partners to improve data systems.
• Ensure strong data quality, validation and GDPR compliance.
