Job summary

Weston College is seeking a motivated SEND Mental Health Officer to support learners with SEND and associated mental health needs, helping them become more independent and achieve sustainable outcomes. The role focuses on inclusive practice and curriculum adaptations across campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

The post is full-time, 37 hours per week, with the option for term-time only (38 weeks per year). Interviews will be on-site at a Weston-super-Mare campus.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in SEND or mental health.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND and mental health difficulties.
• Understanding of barriers to learning and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality interventions to a caseload of learners with SEND and mental health needs.
• Plan and review individual support programmes and ISN/EHCP provisions.
• Assess progress and monitor outcomes, liaising with ALS teams and Heads of Department.
