Job summary

Sprites Primary Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to aid pupils with various needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and promoting inclusive, supportive learning environments for children with SEND.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of SEND experience in a primary setting, a Level 2 playwork/childcare qualification, and a good understanding of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience with SEND children in primary age range.
• Experience in a busy, friendly school environment.
• Understanding of children with SEN needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Motivated to inspire confidence in children with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a variety of needs including EHCPs.
• Work with class teachers to enhance teaching and learning.
• Be calm, patient and build relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Use initiative and work as part of a team.
