Job summary

William Hulme’s Grammar School in Manchester is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Secondary Phase. You will support teaching staff by assisting students with learning difficulties and EHCP needs in mainstream classes.

The successful candidate will be patient, caring and able to communicate with parents and staff. A Level 3 TA qualification is preferred, or you will enrol on the United Learning Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND children, including EHCP needs.
• Patient, caring, and able to communicate with parents and staff.
• Good numeracy and literacy; sound ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons by assisting students with learning difficulties in mainstream classes.
• Assist teaching staff to implement learning plans and activities.
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
