Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our Oldham school on a full-time, long-term basis. The role starts immediately and offers a salary of £92.63 - £115 per day.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small-group support, and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils with SEND are fully supported. Experience with Autism/ASD, SEMH or PMLD, and strong behaviour management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working within SEND settings.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children with Autism / ASD, SEMH, PMLD or challenging behaviours.
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with behaviour management and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils are fully supported throughout the school day.
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups in line with their individual plans.
• Maintain a caring and proactive approach to pupil welfare and classroom routines.
