TeacherActive Limited is recruiting for a SEND Learning Support Assistant in Oldham to support a specialist SEND primary school. The role is long-term and full-time, with potential to become permanent.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with behaviour management, and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils are supported throughout the school day. The role requires experience in SEND settings and with autism/ASD, SEMH, or related needs.

Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £92.63 - £115 per day

Are you confident working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils stay engaged and make progress?

specialist SEND primary school in Oldham that supports children with a range of additional needs, including Autism / ASD, SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviours. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop socially, emotionally and academically.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, full-time basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with behaviour management and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils are fully supported throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working within SEND settings
• Experience supporting primary-aged children with Autism / ASD, SEMH , PMLD or challenging behaviours
• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• A caring and nurturing personality
