Job summary

Lewisham College through The Supply Register is seeking a SEND Learning Support Worker to support students with high levels of need within the college setting.

You will work directly with students to help them access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment.

This role requires someone who is caring, patient and flexible, with a willingness to perform personal care when required.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a SEN/SEND school environment.
• Experience in a care or support setting.
• Passion for supporting individuals with additional needs.
• Flexible, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students with complex additional needs.
• Promote independence and help students access learning.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Build positive relationships inside and outside of the classroom.
