Job summary

Shorefields in East Tilbury (Essex) is seeking two SEND Learning Support Assistants to join a dedicated team. The roles are fixed-term, part-time, term-time only, supporting pupils with special educational needs in the classroom to help learning outcomes.

The successful candidates will have a good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent), basic computer skills, and may hold NVQ qualifications. Training is provided, and you will contribute during lunchtime as required.

Qualifications

• Experience or genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent required.
• NVQ qualifications or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students within the classroom to enhance learning.
• Help maintain a positive learning environment and guide pupils.
• Demonstrate resilience and de‑escalation skills.
• Build nurturing, supportive relationships with pupils.
• Provide lunchtime support as required.
