Job summary

Sandwell Local Area Partnership seeks a Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to join Burnt Tree Primary School. The role involves supporting children with SEND, mainly in KS1, during lessons and lunchtimes, with 1:1 and small-group work. Training will be provided for first aid and safeguarding.

The candidate should have NVQ Level 2 and English/Maths Level 2, plus TA experience in education and a proactive, caring approach to pupils.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 and English/Maths Level 2 required.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and varying needs.
• Ability to create teaching resources for learners.
• Ability to observe and record assessments and contribute to judgments.

Responsibilities

• Support across the school, predominantly in KS1.
• Assist during lessons and lunchtimes.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for high-need pupils.
• Contribute to high-quality educational provision and resources.
• May assist with basic first aid; training provided.
