Job summary

A secondary school in Kings Norton, Birmingham is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team. The role focuses on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly those with EHCPs, to access learning and make progress within the classroom.

The position is full-time (5 days per week), 8am-4pm, start Monday 21st September, initially 1-2 weeks with possible extension. DBS and safeguarding checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with EHCPs and additional needs.
• Ability to tailor support to individual learning needs.
• Willingness to complete DBS and safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students with SEN in the classroom.
• Assist students to access learning and participate in activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies.
