Job summary

Five Education Recruitment Limited in Oxfordshire is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to help students with a range of additional needs, including Autism and ADHD. The role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support, adapting materials and promoting inclusive, safe learning throughout the school day.

You will work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement strategies that foster communication, resilience and independence, while supervising pupils during breaks to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND, especially Autism, and managing challenging behaviour.
• Calm, flexible and nurturing approach to learners with diverse needs.
• Strong communication and ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support aligned to EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning materials to suit varied learning styles and developmental needs.
• Support students in communication, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement effective support strategies.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Supervise students during breaks and lunch times with a focus on wellbeing.
