Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in settings such as schools, tutoring, childcare, care work, or youth groups.
• Good understanding of SEND and ability to adapt support to meet individual learning requirements.
• Confidence using a range of teaching and learning approaches, including clear explanations, step-by-step modelling, and maintaining pupil engagement.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support delivery of differentiated and accessible lessons, breaking down tasks and scaffolding learning.
• Reinforce key concepts to help pupils with SEND build confidence and actively engage with the curriculum.
• Use structured and supportive strategies, including visual aids, clear instructions, modelling, and hands-on activities, to encourage participation and maintain focus.
• Promote positive learning behaviours through calm and consistent support, helping pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning when needed.
