Job summary

St John's Catholic Primary School in Horsham is seeking a dedicated individual to support our pupils as part of a fixed-term role running from September 2026 to July 2027. The position is term-time only and located in Horsham, within the West Sussex area.

The successful candidate will be organised, responsible and capable of helping with classroom activities and supervision. We value a good literacy, numeracy and ICT standard and encourage applicants who have volunteered in schools or run youth

Working Pattern: Term Time only

Location: Horsham

Interviews: Week commencing 7th September 2026 (ideally Tuesday 8th September)

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to be responsible and organised and have some experience of working with children, perhaps through volunteering in a school, or helping at a club for young people we would like to hear from you.

We need you to have a good standard of literacy, numeracy and ICT skills and the ability to build up positive relationships with our pupils and staff.

Being able to understand how children develop, think and learn would be useful whilst having the ability to manage groups of children is essential.
