Job summary

London South East Colleges (LSEC) is seeking a dedicated support worker to help learners with SEND access education and services. You will provide person‑centred support, assist with daily living tasks when needed, and help learners build independence and study skills across multiple campuses.

You will work in a diverse, respectful environment, promoting safeguarding, inclusivity and equal opportunities while collaborating with staff, families and professionals to improve learners' outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills and ability to build trust-based relationships.
• Experience in safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs.
• Able to support personal care or mobility needs with sensitivity.
• Experience in SEN settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred learning and accessibility support.
• Enable learners to access programmes and College services.
• Support development of study skills and EHCP outcomes.
• Adapt support to learners with complex needs and mobility requirements.
• Work with individuals or small groups to promote independence.
