Job summary

London South East Colleges (LSEC) is looking for a dedicated SEND support worker to assist learners with a range of needs, including personal care and mobility support. You will help learners access college services, engage with activities and develop independent study skills in a respectful, supportive environment.

Strong literacy and numeracy, plus safeguarding awareness, are essential. Experience with SEN learners in secondary or FE settings is desirable, with adaptable, learner-centered

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy required.
• Ability to build trust with learners, staff and families.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding and barriers faced by learners with additional needs.
• Good organisational skills and reliable IT abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to learners with SEND.
• Help learners access College services and activities.
• Support development of learning and study skills and EHCP outcomes.
• Assist learners with personal care or mobility needs when required.
