Job summary

Timeplan Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a SEND education setting in Havering. The role focuses on 1:1 pupil support for learners aged 5–18 with varied needs, including PMLD and complex needs.

A DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required, with availability for 5 days a week and a commitment of 1–6 months. Experience in education is valued, with term-time hours and school days aligning to the typical UK school schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities.
• A valid DBS registered with the online update service or willing to apply for a new DBS.
• Available 5 days a week and able to commit to 1–6 months.
• Willingness to assist with personal care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 with learning development and care.
• Assist with personal care when required.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication with students, staff and families.
• Maintain DBS status or obtain an updated DBS as required.
• Commit to a 5-day week for 1–6 months term-time position.
