Job Opportunity: SEND Teaching Assistant in Peterlee

A large, welcoming school in Peterlee is seeking an experienced and confident SEND Teaching Assistant to start ASAP. You will work with two pupils within KS2 who display challenging behaviour. While Team Teach/positive handling training is preferred, it is not essential. The role is full-time, five days a week, until the Summer term for the right candidate. One of the pupils has an EHCP, and the school provides substantial support for staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with SEND pupils
• Strong knowledge of managing challenging behaviour
• Candidates with a care background who have worked with challenging behaviour are also encouraged to apply
