SEN schools are seeking learning support assistants across the Peterlee area. They are looking for individuals who are empathetic, driven, and passionate about working with young people.
The role involves working on a 1:1 or small group basis with children from all key stages to support their engagement with learning. You will support children with Special Educational Needs/Disabilities (SEND) or Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH).
Experience in an education setting is beneficial but not essential. Successful candidates have backgrounds in youth work, care, hospital experience, art, creative fields, psychology, or sociology. This list is not exhaustive. No formal teaching or learning support qualifications are required, but comfort in supporting students' learning is necessary.

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanency later.
