Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Barnet is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a school setting. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to help pupils access the curriculum and progress.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEND in a school or care setting.
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a school setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.

  • Support pupils with classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and on task.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
