Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to join this creative special school in Islington. This is a full time, long-term role for the rest of the academic year and upon review there will be an opportunity to go permanent.

The School:

This creative special school in Islington provides alternative education through a Performing Arts and Media curriculum. Now housed in a brand new building at the heart of North London's Tech City area, facilities have been purpose built to offer a range of high specification specialist teaching spaces including a Theatre, Dance Studio, Recording Studio, Music Technology Suites, Film and Photography Studios. The role:

• Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Encouraging and promoting student engagement in learning activities
• Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student
• Collaborating with staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies
• Monitoring and recording student progress and achievements

As an SEND Learning Support Assistant you will need:

• Experience of supporting young people
• A degree or work experience within a creative subject would be ideal (not essential)
• Open-minded, positive and friendly approach
• A caring and professional manner
• Must have legal right to work in the UK
