Job description

Join to apply for the Learning Support Assistant role at Opogo Education.

We are looking for a dedicated LSA to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), partnering with schools to ensure every child receives the care they deserve.

The Role

Join our inclusive school in Greenwich and make a real difference. You will support students' academic, social, and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals in partner schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored lessons for students with SEND MLD and SLD.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to teachers.
  • Support students during school activities, outings, and events.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to support student needs.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Experience working with children from EYFS - KS2, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SEND practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.

The pay range advertised is based on employment through an umbrella company.
