Job summary

Curledge Street Academy, part of Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. You will work with class teachers and the SENDCO to provide targeted support, including within The Reef provision for communication needs.

The role runs from 8:40am to 3:25pm, Monday to Friday, and is a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Patience, adaptability and commitment to an inclusive approach to learning.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable.
• Ability to work with class teachers and the SENDCO to support pupil learning.

About The Role

Curledge Street Academy is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Working closely with class teachers and the SENDCO, you will provide individual and small group support, deliver tailored learning activities and help pupils with special educational needs and disabilities participate fully in school life. The role may involve supporting children from Early Years to Key Stage Two, including within The Reef provision for children with communication needs.

We are looking for someone patient, adaptable and committed to an inclusive approach, who can build positive relationships and support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and personal care needs where required.

Working hours are 8.40am to 3.25pm, Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2027.
