Job summary

Curledge Street Academy is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. You will work with class teachers and the SENDCO to provide individual and small group support, delivering tailored activities and helping pupils with SEND participate fully in school life.

The role may involve supporting children from Early Years to Key Stage Two, including within The Reef provision for communication needs.

Working closely with class teachers and the SENDCO, you will provide individual and small group support, deliver tailored learning activities and help pupils with special educational needs and disabilities participate fully in school life. The role may involve supporting children from Early Years to Key Stage Two, including within The Reef provision for children with communication needs.

We are looking for someone patient, adaptable and committed to an inclusive approach, who can build positive relationships and support pupils’ learning, wellbeing and personal care needs where required.

Working hours are 8.40am to 3.25pm, Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2027.
