Job summary

Think FE Ltd in Warwickshire is recruiting a Learning Mentor to support students with SEND, both in-class and one-to-one. The role focuses on helping learners build confidence, independence and achieve their potential in a further education college setting.

The position is permanent and term-time only (36 weeks per year) with a 35-hour week. Personal care duties may be required, and additional training will be provided. The package includes standard employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths • required.
• Experience supporting young people with SEND preferred.
• Ability to provide personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class and 1-to-1 mentoring for students with SEND.
• Encourage students to become independent and confident learners.
• Act as key worker for EHCP students and contribute to annual reviews.
• Work with teaching and SEND staff to monitor targets and progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student support and progress.
• Assist with exam invigilation during busy periods.
