Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Uxbridge is seeking a Learning and Care Support Assistant (LCSA) to help SEND students with learning, personal care and emotional wellbeing in a caring, supportive environment.

The role is full-time, 8:45 AM to 4:30 PM (timetable dependent), based in a SEND college in Uxbridge, with a pay rate of £14.35 per hour PAYE.

Healthcare experience, manual handling training and strong communication are preferred as you work with staff to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or care experience required or preferred.
• Manual handling training is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic and passionate about student development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to students.
• Assist with personal care tasks including manual handling and peg feeding.
• Support students with challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to meet students' needs.
