Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Uxbridge is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with needs including ASD and learning difficulties. The role is full-time, 8:30 am–4:00 pm, with PAYE salary of £14.25 per hour.

You will assist with academic and personal development in a safe, inclusive environment. Applicants should have Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply; strong communication, patience and empathy are essential to thrive in a dynamic school setting.

Location: Uxbridge UB8 • Salary: £14.25 p/h(PAYE) • Contract Type: Full-time – 8:30 am – 4pm • September 2026

About the Role:

The school in Uxbridge is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students with additional learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, ASD and Personal care. If you have experience in healthcare or care and are passionate about supporting students' development, this could be a rewarding opportunity for you! As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist students in both their academic and personal growth, ensuring their needs are met in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEND in the classroom and care settings.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including manual handling and peg feeding.
  • Support students with challenging behaviours and help maintain a positive, structured environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support students' learning and wellbeing.
Skills and Experience Required
