Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a SEND Learning Assistant to support pupils with SEND in a vibrant school community. You will work with class teachers to deliver engaging activities, support lunchtime routines, and help pupils participate in mainstream lessons.

The role is ideal for someone with UK education experience, a patient and proactive approach, and a willingness to apply for a DBS if not already held. Immediate start offered.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working within a UK educational setting.
• Desirable: experience with SEND.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.
• Patient, kind, and child-centred.
• Willing to apply for DBS if not held.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning, lunchtimes, and playtimes.
• Assist class teacher in creating engaging, safe activities.
• Help create a nurturing environment where pupils develop confidence, independence, life skills.
• Accompany pupils during therapy sessions and enable participation in lessons.
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic development.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies to ensure pupil safety.
