Job summary

Envision Education in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties, in a welcoming school environment.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, assist the class teacher, promote independence and confidence, and help create a safe, inclusive learning space. UK residency or visa and Enhanced DBS are required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential.
• Experience supporting children with SEND, Autism, ADHD or other needs is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Calm, patient, caring and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support, adapting activities to learners.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development during learning.
• Maintain a safe, positive, stimulating learning environment.
