Job summary

Tymberwood Academy invites a passionate Special Education Needs Teacher to start at once. You will identify pupils with SEND, lead teaching development, and shape small-step curriculum in the SEND unit while building assessment processes with the SENDCo.

You will support colleagues across the school to ensure SEND provision leads to strong outcomes for all pupils, with emphasis on safeguarding and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Secure knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum and SEND provision.
• Knowledge of how to use IT effectively throughout professional role.
• Understanding SEND Code of Practice and how to seek expert advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of teaching and learning and small step curriculum in SEND unit.
• Identify pupils with SEND and develop assessment processes with the SENDCo.
• Provide support and guidance to colleagues to promote good outcomes for SEND pupils.
