Job summary

Bradford College is seeking a SEND Lead Practitioner in the Disability Services department to lead SEND provision and ensure outcomes for students with SEND are met. You will manage a caseload and advise on strategies to support curriculum colleagues within the classroom environment.

The role focuses on specific needs including learning difficulties, HE students, adults and apprentices, and requires leading on provision with mobility toward inclusive teaching practices across the college.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent in a disability-related field.
• Teaching qualification required.
• GCSE 4–9 (A*-C) Maths and English or equivalent, or prepared to pass a test and achieve within timescale.

Responsibilities

• Lead responsibility for SEND provision meeting needs and statutory guidance.
• Manage a caseload of students and advise on strategies to support curriculum staff.
• Promote Universal Design for Learning across the college and monitor effectiveness.
• Provide training to teaching and support staff on SEND needs and adjustments.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders and ensure quality assurance and audit readiness.
