Job summary

Twickenham Primary School in Birmingham is seeking a SEND Interventions Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 3-11 with SEND, including SEMH, Autism and ADHD, under the supervision of the SENCO. Qualifications

• Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD in a primary setting.
• Experience delivering targeted interventions and supporting EHCP outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, targeted interventions for pupils with SEND, individually or in small groups.
• Support pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD to access the curriculum and build independence.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to SENCO and class teachers.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs with an inclusive approach.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing using trauma-informed strategies.
