Job summary

Plymstock School in Plymouth is seeking a dedicated SEND Inclusion Learning Mentor to provide targeted, evidence-based support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will support students' emotional wellbeing, behaviour and re-engagement with learning.

The role involves delivering tailored interventions, with a focus on emotional regulation, social skills and behaviour strategies, including Zones of Regulation, emotion coaching and CBT-based

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Significant experience with children in schools or similar settings (voluntary/paid).
• Experience supporting a range of student behaviours.
• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, evidence-based interventions for SEND pupils.
• Focus on emotional regulation, social skills and behaviour strategies.
• Implement SEMH approaches such as Zones of Regulation, emotion coaching and CBT-based techniques.
• Support students to re-engage with learning and maintain engagement.
