Job summary

Plymstock School is seeking a dedicated SEND Inclusion Learning Mentor to provide targeted, evidence-based support for pupils with SEND. You will help with emotional wellbeing, behaviour and re-engagement with learning.

The role requires delivering structured interventions tailored to individual SEND needs, focusing on emotional regulation, social skills and strategies including SEMH approaches such as Zones of Regulation, emotion coaching and CBT-based techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Significant experience of working with children, i.e volunteering/paid work in schools, playgroups etc
• Experience of supporting a range of student behaviours.
• Experience of working with children with SEND, particularly SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, evidence‑based interventions tailored to SEND needs.
• Support emotional wellbeing, behaviour and re-engagement with learning.
• Implement SEMH approaches such as Zones of Regulation, emotion coaching and CBT-based techniques.
