Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEND school in Ferryhill. You will lead learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEND needs.

This role is suitable for experienced TAs with HLTA qualification who want progression. You'll work closely with teachers, track pupil progress and support positive behaviour while benefiting from our CPD, training and ongoing

Qualifications

• Qualified HLTA with suitable experience in SEND settings.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with diverse needs.
• Ability to lead targeted interventions and small-group activities.

Responsibilities

• Leading targeted interventions and small-group activities.
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Delivering engaging learning activities based on teacher planning.
• Helping pupils work towards their individual targets.
• Tracking and monitoring pupil progress; providing classroom cover when required.
• Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement.
• Working closely with teachers and wider school staff.
• Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.
