Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is actively seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist SEN school in Sunderland. You will work alongside teachers and therapists, delivering pre-planned lessons and leading targeted interventions to help each pupil achieve outcomes.

The role runs full-time during term-time, with class cover across mornings and afternoons, and offers free SEND CPD, a dedicated consultant, and opportunities for long-term or permanent roles.

Protocol Education is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Sunderland supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex additional needs.

You’ll work alongside teachers and therapists while leading interventions and covering classes when required, ensuring every pupil receives the highest level of support.

Working Pattern

• Full-time
• September start
• Monday-Friday
• Working hours between 8:30am-3:30pm and 8:30am-4:30pm
• Term-time only
