Job summary

Bradford Council Resourced Provision Service seeks skilled SEND HLTA to support children with communication needs and SEMH across Bradford district. The role involves delivering engaging learning in resourced provisions and small groups, and working with LSAs to meet individual pupil needs.

We require Level 3 qualifications, SEND experience, and strong communication to build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff. Term-time hours (35 per week) in Bradford.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience working with SEND children in a school setting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team; proactive, flexible and creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach and deliver highly engaging learning for children with communication and interaction needs and/or SEMH in resourced provisions, 1:1 or in small groups.
• Support a team of LSAs to meet the needs of children with SEND.
• Work with mainstream staff to support inclusive education of children with SEND in the mainstream school.
• Support and extend children’s learning across primary or secondary age ranges; interview will confirm preference.
• Create a nurturing, supportive learning environment for all children.
• Collaborate with RP and mainstream teams to foster inclusivity.
