Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Beckfoot Thornton in Bradford.

This fixed-term role runs from September 2026 to December 2026 within the SEN Provision, supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs through targeted interventions and collaboration with the SEN team and teaching staff. The HLTA will lead small-group and one-to-one interventions, promote inclusive learning, and help pupils achieve academic, social, and emotional goals in a supportive

Qualifications

HLTA status or equivalent experience with teaching and learning.
Experience working with children/young people with SEND, especially SEMH.
Ability to deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted small-group and one-to-one interventions to support pupils with SEND.
Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Assist in implementing individual support plans and strategies to help pupils achieve academic and social goals.
Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
Collaborate with teachers, the SEN team and pastoral staff to ensure consistent provision.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and the SENCO.
