Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an HLTA to support pupils in a dedicated SEND base across the primary phase. You will provide high-quality 1:1 and small-group support, delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.

You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and support team to promote independence and engagement, adapting activities to meet individual needs and supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HLTA or senior TA.
• Strong SEND experience.
• Calm, patient approach to behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Desirable HLTA Level 3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils within a dedicated SEND Base across the primary phase.
• Providing high-quality 1:1 and small-group support.
• Delivering targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.
• Supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour and social development.
• Adapting activities and learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support team.
• Taking responsibility for learning activities and supporting classroom delivery in an HLTA capacity.
• Promoting independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
