Do you thrive on mentoring staff, delivering interventions, and fostering emotional regulation and positive behaviour? This temp-to-perm position allows you to play a key role in developing inclusive and supportive learning environments for pupils aged 4-16. As an HLTA, you'll support teaching and learning, work closely with teachers and senior staff, and lead on restorative practice, emotional regulation, and behaviour strategies.
Leading behaviour and wellbeing interventions, including restorative practice and emotional regulation
Providing specialist support for pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety, learning, and personal development
Coaching and mentoring Learning Support Assistants to enhance classroom strategies and behaviour management
Delivering targeted interventions, such as Lego therapy, bereavement support, and Circle of Friends
Helping shape Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and intervention strategies
Monitoring and evaluating behaviour trends, implementing proactive approaches
Responding to calls for behaviour support and leading post-incident debriefings
Collaborating with parents and external agencies to support pupils' social and emotional development
Assisting with break and lunchtime supervision, ensuring a safe and positive atmosphere
Leading by example to ensure school values, safeguarding policies, and best practices are upheld
Substantial experience in a similar or related role within an SEN or educational setting
A strong understanding of emotional regulation, restorative practice, and behaviour support
Someone confident in coaching and mentoring staff in effective relational and classroom strategies
A resilient team player who is proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
A professional who can effectively liaise with parents and external professionals
