Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a SEND EYFS Teacher for a specialist DL8 setting in Darlington. You will deliver personalised education for children aged 3-5 with EHCPs, using sensory play and practical activities to foster communication, independence and confidence.

The role is full-time, ASAP start, paying £150-£180 per day. You’ll work in a nurturing environment that emphasises secure relationships and individual progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS pedagogy and child development.
• Experience teaching children with SEND, complex needs and EHCPs.
• Confident delivering sensory, play-based and highly differentiated learning.
• Understanding of communication, physical, social and emotional development.
• Nurturing, creative and adaptable approach with ability to recognise progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver sensory, play-based and meaningful learning experiences.
• Measure progress against each child's EHCP targets and starting point.
• Differentiate activities to meet individual developmental needs and abilities.
