Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND setting in the DL8 area that provides highly personalised education for children with significant and complex learning difficulties. This is a full-time SEND EYFS Teacher role for pupils aged 3-5 with EHCPs, where learning is tailored to individual development needs using sensory exploration and play.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong knowledge of EYFS pedagogy and child development
• Experience teaching children with SEND and EHCPs
• Ability to deliver sensory, play-based and highly differentiated learning
• Understanding of communication, physical, social and emotional development
• Nurturing, creative and adaptable approach with ability to recognise progress

Responsibilities

• Deliver SEND EYFS education for children aged 3-5 with EHCPs
• Use sensory experiences, purposeful play and topic-based learning
• Assess progress from each child’s starting point and tailor teaching
• Create engaging, secure relationships and personalised learning environments
