Qualifications

  • Clear communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Excellent written skills to support accurate case recording.
  • Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high standards of achievement and inclusion for children with SEND within policy and budget.
  • Prepare information for parents, children, young people and schools.
  • Manage statutory casework within legal and internal timelines.
  • Collaborate with education, health and care professionals.
  • Ensure effective case management and integrated working practices.
  • Lead or attend panel meetings and make resource decisions in line with policy.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and represent Children's Services when needed.
  • Contribute to policy development and maintain up-to-date SEN knowledge.
  • Input and maintain accurate database records for EHC assessments and reviews.
