Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a client school in Batley to support children in their early years with SEND. The role is full-time, with part-time and flexible options, starting immediately. Pay is £100–£110 per day, paid weekly, and there is potential for permanent placement.

You will provide tailored support, help prepare learning materials, and work closely with teachers to monitor progress in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND, especially in Early Years/KS1.
• Compassionate and patient approach to individual needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with teachers, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students with SEND in an Early Years setting.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support learning activities and help prepare learning materials.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adjust support.
• Offer one-on-one or small group assistance as needed.
