Job summary

Philosophy Education LTD. is seeking a SEND Nursery Assistant for a warm Lambeth nursery from September 2026, offering part-time hours (4–5 per day) to support children with SEND in an inclusive setting.

You will work with teachers and the SENCO, provide tailored support, help children access play-based learning, and encourage communication, social and emotional development in children aged 2–4. This role suits an experienced Early Years practitioner who is compassionate, collaborative and eager

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience supporting children with SEND within an Early Years setting.
• Patient, nurturing and inclusive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s early development.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of SEND to access play-based learning and participate in nursery activities.
• Provide tailored support across the nursery setting, working with class teachers and the SENCO.
• Create a nurturing and engaging environment that supports children’s communication, social, emotional and developmental progress.
• Collaborate with staff to understand and meet individual children’s needs.
