Job summary

Warrington Borough Council is seeking a passionate Best Start Inclusion Practitioner (BSIP) to work across Family Hubs, early years settings, schools and community venues. You will support children and families by providing timely interventions and promoting inclusive practice, identifying needs at the earliest opportunity.

This fixed-term role runs until 31 March 2029, with duties including SEND outreach, guiding families through services, and building practitioner confidence within partner

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 and understanding of development.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and inclusive practice.
• Ability to engage with families and professionals across agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support early identification of SEND and developmental needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions and inclusive activities.
• Provide SEND outreach support to nurseries, childminders and schools.
• Guide families through local SEND services and pathways.
• Promote inclusive practice across Warrington's Family Hubs and partners.
• Collaborate with health, education, voluntary sector and SEND professionals.
