Job summary

Aspire People are helping a mainstream primary school in Birmingham to recruit an Experienced SEND Teacher for the Discovery Hub. This role supports pupils with complex communication and learning needs within an Enhanced Learning Provision, with on-site collaboration from support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching pupils with SEND
• Strong understanding of communication and individualised learning
• Ability to adapt teaching using visual, sensory and multisensory strategies

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored learning opportunities that support pupils' communication, interaction, emotional regulation, engagement and independence
• Work alongside two experienced additional adults to maintain a calm, structured and stimulating environment
• Contribute to an inclusive ethos within the school and support pupils to access learning in ways that work for them
• Collaborate with staff across the school to develop provision within the Discovery Hub
• Lead and develop provision within the Discovery Hub as opportunities arise
